Community Benefits
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with local organizations and leaders to address community priorities.

Chicago Clean Energy will be working with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Illinois Commerce Commission, the Illinois Power Agency, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the City of Chicago to involve local community groups and residents in this project.

We look forward to participating in community programs and projects such as educational, environmental, arts, and cultural initiatives in the surrounding communities.

We are spending $20 million to remediate the local site. We are committed to environmentally-friendly design and construction practices, and best available practices and technologies.

We are working to develop local training and hiring programs for construction employees, permanent employees, and service workers, and to establishing responsible contracting requirements and creation of economic development opportunities.
